PTA Landscapes added another Educational Environment to their portfolio recently designing and constructing The Salvio Courtyard  and Active Foursquare Courtyard for Salesian College, Sunbury.
The brief for designing The Salvio Courtyard, for the year 7 students, was to capture the natural environment of the school whilst incorporating a range of seating options and disabled access.

The construction works included a range of pavement types including natural granitic gravel, earthy toned concrete pathway and exposed aggregate.

Sandstone seating blocks were scattered throughout the area as well as a timber platform seat, timber bench seats and a picnic setting.

Native planting was used throughout the courtyard and a new rubbish system incorporating General Waste, Recycling and Compost was set-up.

Rubber surfacing was installed over a concrete base to provide the playing surface for the Active Foursquare Courtyard. The colours of the rubber surfacing were specifically designed by PTA Landscapes; green representing natural grass and blue and yellow representing the school’s colours.
